Registered Nurse Med/Surg Trauma

Schedule

12 Hour Shifts, 36 hours guaranteed per week. Every other weekend rotation.

Assignment Details

Length of Contract: 26 weeks, with preference for longer contracts (26-51 weeks). Submission for orientations on 10/05/2026, 10/19/2026, 11/02/2026, 11/16/2026, or 11/30/2026 is required. Compliance due date is two Thursdays prior to start date.

Requirements

• Current License: KS or Multistate license (no hits allowed)
• Certification: AHA BLS required at time of submission
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Education: ADN or BSN
• Charting System: Epic (test out option available)
• Float Requirements: Must be willing to float to other post-surgical and med surg inpatient floors

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to post-surgical patients, including those in trauma, neurosurgery, and orthopedic units
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient management
• Conduct assessments and implement nursing interventions
• Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment
• Educate patients and families about post-operative care and recovery

Compliance / Notes

RTO (Max of 10 days for 26 weeks+ contracts; Max 5 RTO days for less than 26 weeks). Holiday RTO Policy: HCP may request 1 holiday off.
