Senior Financial Analyst

DisruptiX Talent Solutions is partnering with a growing organization in Irvine to identify a hands-on Senior Financial Analyst to join its Finance team on a temp-to-hire basis. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced FP&A professional who enjoys getting into the details, partnering with business leaders and helping build and improve financial processes within a growing environment. The engagement is expected to begin at approximately 25–30 hours per week, with flexibility around scheduling and the opportunity for hours and responsibilities to increase as business needs grow. The long-term intent is to identify someone who could develop into a permanent member of the Finance organization. This position is fully onsite in Irvine, CA. What You'll Do Own and analyze monthly operating expenses across multiple accounts and cost centers. Review detailed GL activity and identify the underlying drivers behind financial results. Prepare Budget vs. Actual reporting and investigate significant variances. Support budgeting, forecasting and quarterly planning activities. Update financial models with actual results and evaluate trends against budget and forecast. Partner directly with department leaders and cost-center owners to understand spending and business drivers. Translate detailed financial information into clear insights for Finance and non-finance stakeholders. Support cash flow, trend, KPI and management reporting analysis. Assist with monthly close and recurring financial reporting activities. Identify opportunities to improve reporting, forecasting and FP&A processes. Work with ERP and financial data to improve visibility and reporting. Support ad hoc financial analysis and strategic projects as the organization continues to grow. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field. Approximately 3–7 years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance or financial analysis experience. Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial modeling. Hands-on experience analyzing OpEx / SG&A and cost-center performance. Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with detailed financial and ERP data. Ability to dig beyond summary-level results and explain the "why" behind financial performance. Experience partnering with department leaders and communicating financial information to non-finance stakeholders. Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills. Comfortable operating in a lean, evolving and growth-oriented environment. Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting/data tools is strongly preferred. This role is best suited for someone who wants more than a short-term consulting assignment.
