Job Summary
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - Level 3, available in a healthcare facility setting. This position involves caring for neonatal patients, including preterm infants and those with complex health needs, with a focus on providing high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment. The role requires collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to support the health and recovery of newborns.

Job Details

• Location: Healthcare facility setting
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: BLS Certification, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program); minimum 2 years of experience, valid license to submit
• Preferred Qualifications: PALS and STABLE certifications are preferred
• Responsibilities include caring for neonatal patients weighing 23 weeks and above, managing ventilators including oscillators and high flow nasal cannula, and providing specialized neonatal care.
• The unit utilizes Cerner electronic medical records system.
• Float rotation may be required to support other units such as Nursery and Peds or Mother Baby, if applicable.
• Orientation includes 2-3 shifts in NICU and 2 shifts in Peds.
• Common diagnoses include feeding/growing issues and thermoregulation, with experience preferred in cooling and high-frequency oscillators.
• The facility has a Level 3 NICU with 21 beds, and unit-specific notes include patient ratios and equipment used.
• No travel experience is required; previous NICU experience of 2 or more years is preferred, but not mandatory.
• The unit typically operates with minimal call and occasional standby situations during low census periods.
