A well-established organization in Mishawaka, Indiana has partnered with us to identify a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant to support daily accounting and financial operations. This Accountant role will focus on maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and assisting with reporting. The Accountant will work closely with finance leadership and internal teams to ensure accuracy and compliance. This Accountant opportunity offers long-term stability and growth. The Accountant will play a key role in supporting the company's financial health.

Key Responsibilities of the Accountant

Maintain general ledger entries and prepare journal entries
Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Assist with financial reporting and internal schedules
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
Maintain organized financial records and documentation
Assist with audits and compliance reporting
Partner with internal departments to ensure financial accuracy

Qualifications for the Accountant

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
2-5+ years of accounting experience preferred
Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
High attention to detail and accuracy
Organized, dependable, and deadline-driven
