HVAC Technician - Chesapeake, VA

Job Overview Primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined market, responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and starting up HVAC systems in commercial environments. Responsibilities Coordinate with team leader/project manager and customers to understand on‑site installation and repair requirements, forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on‑site work. Serve as the direct customer contact, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems. Use cutting‑edge software and technology, hand tools, by following blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units. Maintain flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays as needed. Enforce safety to the highest standards and maintain accountability of company assets. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent; typically 5+ years of HVAC experience. Technical school or formal training preferred. Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and working proficiency with handheld computer (smartphone, iPad). Valid driver’s license for minimum of 12 months with clean driving record (no major violations in the past 3 years). EPA certification. Compensation Hourly base pay range: $23.80–$43.85.
