BUSINESS LITIGATION ASSOCIATE | ST. I’m currently representing a well-established and highly respected St. Louis law firm seeking a Business Litigation Associate to join its sophisticated commercial litigation practice. This is an opportunity to work on complex business disputes from inception through resolution , alongside experienced attorneys, while developing your own litigation skill set and client relationships. WHAT YOU’LL HANDLE: Breach of contract & commercial disputes Business torts & fraud claims Breach of fiduciary duty Shareholder, partnership & closely held business disputes Intellectual property & trade secret matters Officer & director liability Restrictive covenant & business competition matters Post-closing and business transaction disputes Other complex commercial litigation matters RESPONSIBILITIES: Handle substantive business litigation matters with increasing autonomy Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, memoranda and settlement documents Conduct sophisticated legal research and develop litigation strategies Participate in all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, arbitration and trial preparation Assist with hearings, court appearances and witness preparation Qualifications: 2–6 years of Business Litigation experience J.D. from an accredited law school Missouri Bar admission in good standing Strong legal research, writing and analytical abilities Experience drafting substantive pleadings, motions, briefs and discovery Deposition and/or courtroom experience strongly preferred You’ll have the opportunity to get involved in sophisticated commercial disputes, work directly with clients, gain meaningful courtroom and dispute-resolution exposure, and learn from experienced litigators. Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $120,000 – $160,000 . Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
