Interventional Radiology RN (IR RN) Shift Details

• 4x10-hour shifts
• Day/Evening hours
• 40 hours per week
• Weekends, holidays, and on-call per unit need

Position Overview

• Exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment
• Provides specialized patient care to adult inpatients and outpatients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
• Procedures include biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, drain placements, and other image-guided procedures
• Role includes preparing patients, intra-procedure monitoring, and post-procedure recovery including PACU and extended stay (23-hour)
• IR is an essential part of the critical embolization response team for trauma patients
• Requires critical thinking, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• The IR RN collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care

Required Qualifications

• NYS RN License
• BLS (AHA only)
• ACLS (AHA only)
• Telemetry experience
• 1 year of recent IR experience

Dress & Infection Prevention

• Will be required to wear hospital-issued and laundered scrub pants and tops
• Additional infection prevention measures required when working in procedural areas
