Job Description Locums | Advanced Heart Failure Cardiology | Richmond, VA (local providers only, VA license required) Why This Role Locums-to-perm opportunity for the right fit Established practice with APC support (4 APCs) Rotating call: 1:6 ratio Ongoing coverage until permanent hire Assignment Details Start: ASAP, ongoing until permanent physician is onboarded Schedule: Monday-Friday plus rotating night and weekend call Call: 1:6 ratio Volume: ~10 clinic patients/day; 12-15 inpatient admissions/physician/day Setting: Inpatient outpatient/clinic, call coverage Patient population: adult and geriatric Support: 1 other cardiologist plus 4 APCs (independent practice with physician oversight) EMR: Epic Credentialing: ~120 days Note: Locum role does not include APC supervision, but a permanent transition would Clinical Details Non-invasive cardiology with advanced heart failure focus Required: EKG interpretation Note: provider will not perform any invasive procedures Requirements Board Certified in Cardiology Advanced Heart Failure (AHF) Fellowship with LVAD experience VAD (Ventricular Assist Device) Certified Active VA license Active DEA ACLS Local provider — only mileage reimbursed (no flights or lodging) Clean background required Self-query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation Compensation Rate negotiable, open to your number Malpractice provided Mileage reimbursed (local providers only — no flight or lodging coverage)
