Shipping & Receiving Laborer

Location: Holland, MI
Shift: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM | Monday–Friday

Pay: $19.00–$20.00/hour

Job Summary

We're looking for a dependable and hardworking Shipping & Receiving Laborer to join our team. This position is responsible for staging materials for production, preparing finished products for shipment, and supporting daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have previous forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Shipping & Receiving Laborer, your core responsibilities will include:

1. Staging Production Materials: Deliver and stage aluminum edging materials to stamping areas to ensure production runs efficiently.
2. Preparing Finished Products for Shipment: Move completed boxes of aluminum edging from production areas and stage them for shipping.
3. Operating a Forklift: Safely operate a forklift to transport materials and finished products throughout the facility.
4. Loading and Unloading Materials: Assist with incoming and outgoing shipments while ensuring materials are handled properly.
5. Maintaining Inventory Accuracy: Verify product counts and help maintain organized staging and storage areas.
6. Supporting Warehouse Operations: Assist with general shipping, receiving, and warehouse duties as assigned.

In addition, you will help maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all company safety procedures.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

1. Previous forklift experience is required.
2. Valid driver's license or chauffeur's license is required.
3. Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, manufacturing, or material handling experience preferred.
4. Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and follow safety procedures.
5. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

1. Forklift Operation: Experience safely moving materials and finished products throughout a facility.
2. Organization: Ability to keep staging and shipping areas organized and efficient.
3. Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately identify, count, and move products.
4. Communication: Ability to work effectively with production, shipping, and warehouse teams.
5. Safety Awareness: Commitment to following all workplace safety guidelines and procedures.

Physical Requirements

1. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the shift.
2. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move materials throughout the workday.
3. Ability to safely operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment.
4. Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
5. Ability to perform repetitive lifting, carrying, and material handling tasks.
