As a non-profit institution affiliated with the Yale School of Medicine and other academic partners, the facility offers a broad range of clinical services including emergency care, advanced imaging, minimally invasive surgery, and behavioral health services.

The facility is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join its well-established and growing medical team in Shelton, Connecticut.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering the opportunity to provide comprehensive gastroenterology services in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. The physician will work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team and have access to advanced diagnostic and therapeutic resources.

Essential Position Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary conditions.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal procedures, including EGD and colonoscopy.
• Evaluate and manage patients with a broad range of GI conditions, including GERD, inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease, and colorectal disorders.
• Collaborate with primary care physicians, surgeons, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education.
• Provide patient education regarding gastrointestinal health, disease prevention, and treatment options.

Qualifications:

• Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Residency/Fellowship: Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship.
• Licensure & Certification: Board Certified / Board Eligible in Gastroenterology; eligible for Connecticut medical licensure.
• Experience: Prior clinical experience preferred; new graduates and recent fellows are encouraged to apply.
