Junior Accountant

Reports To: Chief Accounting Officer/Controller Position Type: Full-time, in-office Compensation: $27–$29/hr (based on experience) POSITION SUMMARY Acropolis Realty Group is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to serve as a corporate accounting resource supporting all Acropolis companies, including residential and commercial real estate, development, property management, leasing, staging, and insurance operations. The Junior Accountant will work directly with the Chief Accounting Officer/Comptroller and assist with day-to-day accounting, property accounting, financial reporting, and bookkeeping functions across multiple entities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain bookkeeping and accounting records for all Acropolis entities and properties. Process accounts payable, bill entry, and invoice coding in AppFolio . Perform monthly bank reconciliations. Generate monthly financial statements and owner reports. Complete due-to/due-from reconciliations between related entities. Monitor rent receipts, delinquencies, and tenant receivables. Support accounting for residential and commercial real estate portfolios. Assist with development project accounting and tracking. Support property management, leasing, staging, and insurance company accounting activities. Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, audits, and 1099 preparation. Maintain organized accounting records and documentation. QUALIFICATIONS Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 2–5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or property accounting experience. Real estate, property management, construction, or development accounting experience preferred. Experience with AppFolio , QuickBooks, or similar accounting systems. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
