QC Supervisor

JOB TITLE: QC Supervisor (MDP - Mechanical, Duct, Piping)

DEPARTMENT: Quality Team

REPORTS TO: Quality Manager

LOCATION: Taylor, TX

JOB OBJECTIVES

• Under the policy direction of the Quality Manager and the Project Management, manage and supervise on-site electrical quality control inspections and related work with related parties such as the construction teams and subcontractors to ensure all necessary site quality activities including inspections, quality record control, quality document reviews (ITP, procedure, etc.), qualifications, non-conformance control, monitoring and managing of subcontractor’s quality activities are successfully carried out.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Progress management of MDP inspection of our construction project.

  • Reviewing inspection documents and on-site confirmation of inspection requests.

  • Giving feedback on insufficient parts or any incompliances on codes, specs, regulations to the construction team and subcontractors, Following up on changes made.

  • Giving the final confirmation before requesting inspection for client supervision. (Inspection Fail Ratio Management)

• Nonconformance (NCR and Punch) management.

  • Managing issues during the inspection phase and making sure inspection documents/site nonconformity follow-ups are dealt and completed.

  • Rapid resolution of non-conformities and preventive measures.

• Regular quality check on external shop works and/or products.

• Regular quality check on material storage conditions and status of subcontractors and remove any materials that do not meet quality standards.

• Check incoming materials and the quality subcontractors use.

• Monitor the COT (City of Taylor) inspections to be performed as required by authorities having jurisdiction.

• Assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Company.

Qualifications/Requirements

• At least 5-10 Years of experience in the MDP work and in construction quality control.

• Required Certification: CWI (Certified Welding Inspector).

• Must be knowledgeable in control codes and specifications, such as the ASME, API and related standards.

• Must have proven experience working with drawings.

• Strong ability to multitask and complete deadlines and highly responsible.

• Experience working with multiple subcontractors.

• Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.

• Demonstration of strong compliance to procedures and guidelines.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, demanding environment with a mixed culture.

• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-ups.

• Having strong ownership and having a proactive attitude with a risk-managing mindset.

• Strong analytical thinking skills with a demonstrated ability to systematically solve problems and propose alternative solutions.

• Openness to feedback and a willingness to learn and improve

• Consistently approaches work with a positive and constructive attitude

• Proficiency in MS Office.

Desirable/Preferred Skills

• Experience in QA/QC

• Experience in construction projects of more than 50M

• Experience in oil & gas, semiconductor plants

• Experience using Trimble software

• International and multi-cultural experience a plus

• Korean English Bilingual preferred
