Automotive Sales Consultant

Nimey's New Generation Cars is looking for the right person to join our sales team.

You don't need years of automotive experience to be a great fit. We're looking for someone friendly, motivated, good with people, and willing to learn.

New Generation Cars has been serving the Utica area since 1964. We're an independent, family-owned dealership, and we take pride in making the car-buying experience comfortable, straightforward, and personal.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll help customers find the right vehicle, answer questions, demonstrate vehicles, follow up with leads and past customers, and guide people through the buying process from start to finish.

A big part of the job is simply building relationships, communicating well, and following through.

Who We're Looking For

Automotive sales experience is a plus, but it isn't required. Experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, or another people-focused job can translate very well.

We're looking for someone dependable, comfortable talking with people, motivated by goals, and interested in building a career where their effort can directly affect their income.

We'll train the right person.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and people skills 
• Friendly, professional, and comfortable talking with customers 
• Motivated, dependable, and willing to learn 
• Good follow-through and basic organizational skills 
• Comfortable using phones, text, email, and computer systems 
• Ability to work well as part of a team 
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record 
• High school diploma or equivalent 
• Previous sales, retail, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred, but not required 
• Automotive experience is a plus, but not required
