Job#: 3032918 Job Description: Data Center Network Engineer Location: Multiple locations (Wayne, PA; Plano, TX; Scottsdale, AZ; Charlotte, NC) Schedule: Hybrid 3 days a week onsite (Tues-Thurs), 2 days remote Employment Type: Contract to Perm Role Overview We are seeking a hands-on Data Center Network Engineer to join our data center networking team. This role is focused on the design, implementation, operation, and optimization of a global, Cisco-centric data center network environment. The ideal candidate will provide Level 3 engineering execution, supporting critical infrastructure including Cisco ACI fabrics and VPN solutions, while contributing to new data center builds and modernization initiatives. Support and maintain all data center network infrastructure, including Cisco ACI fabrics, the Cisco Nexus switching environment, and VPN infrastructure. 2. Assist with standing up new data centers, building out new network architectures, and implementing connectivity between legacy and new environments. 3. Perform software upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management for ACI fabrics and other network devices. 4. Assist in migrating workloads between on-premises data centers and cloud environments. 5. Develop and maintain automation solutions using scripting and APIs to improve consistency and reduce manual effort. 6. Utilize network telemetry and monitoring platforms to proactively identify issues and improve network reliability. 7. Perform packet-level analysis using tools like SPAN, ERSPAN, and packet brokers to diagnose complex connectivity issues. 8. Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and change management processes. Required Qualifications Education: Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of hands-on network engineering experience in enterprise environments, with a deep understanding of data center networking architecture. Technical Skills: 1. Proficiency with Cisco Nexus switching platforms and Cisco VPN technologies. 2. Proven ability to perform packet capture and protocol-level troubleshooting. 3. Working knowledge of network automation using scripting languages and APIs. 4. Experience with network telemetry, monitoring, and observability tools. Preferred Qualifications 1. Experience working in large-scale enterprise or telecom-level network environments. 2. Experience supporting global data center infrastructure. 3. Exposure to AWS and/or GCP networking environments. 4. Experience supporting migrations between on-premise and cloud environments. 5. Strong practical experience with Cisco ACI, including operating and supporting complex fabrics. Compensation & Benefits The anticipated conversion salary for this position is between $100,000 and $180,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications. The role includes a comprehensive benefits package upon conversion, featuring a yearly performance bonus, a partner bonus, and a 401(k) plan with a company match and an additional company contribution.
