Assembly Technician/Delivery DriverThis is a two-part position. Candidate must be willing/able to do ALL facets of the job. This is a PART-TIME position. Please read before applying:Associate will be required to assemble Grills, Mowers, Wheelbarrows, etc. by established deadlines. Associate will also be responsible for transporting and safely delivering a range of items to designated locations and ensuring all orders are delivered on time, in the right condition and to the correct location/place.Main Job Duties and Responsibilities:Assembly of various items that will be sold in retail environmentReview orders prior to deliveryPerform vehicle inspection before departingLoad delivery items safely and efficientlyFollow any customer specifications regarding deliveryObtain delivery confirmation from customers - close out on-line deliveriesHandle customer questions and concernsComply with relevant transportation, road regulations, and safety standardsEnsure delivery vehicle is maintained in a clean and in safe operating conditionIf needed - provide general installation and assembly upon deliveryPhysical Requirements:Able to move, push, load and unload items up to 50 poundsAble to lift, bend, kneel, crouch, and stretchAble to climb in and out of van multiple times per dayAble to walk up and down stairs as necessary to deliver itemsDeliver items (but not limited to) grills, smokers, lawn mowers and tractors, sheds, bagged goods, pine needles, paint, and propane tanks.General Requirements:Valid and current driver's license with acceptable driving recordAble to safely operate a delivery vehicle with a trailerAble to understand and navigate via GPS technologyReliable, dependable, and punctualCustomer-focused (Do whatever it takes attitude)Energetic with a strong sense of urgencyCompany-provided delivery van/trailerCompany-provided gas credit cardPrivate work area to assemble products and tools are providedPlease note: This is a part-time position where the hours may vary from week to week based upon business needs. Most deliveries will be done Monday through Friday during store business hours. Company vehicle (insured) provided for deliveries. Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
