The APRN will provide comprehensive evidence-based healthcare to infants, children, adolescents and young adults including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care. The ideal APRN candidate will work collaboratively with primary care physicians and other healthcare professionals, and support staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, aligning with interdisciplinary clinical teams to ensure the highest quality of care for our young patients, in a mission-driven and value-based contracting environmen t. Key Duties & Responsibiliti es:What You’ll areWork within collaborative agreement with physician(s) and be an active member of the Bluebird Kids clinical te am.Conduct thorough physical exams, obtain medical histories, and evaluate health and developmental stat us.Diagnose and treat common conditions affecting children, adolescents and young adults as well as perform routine childhood wellness exa ms.Prescribe medications and other treatments as appropria te.Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and X-ra ys.Health Promotion & Disease Prevent ionEducate parents, guardians and patients on preventative healthcare, nutrition, and lifestyle choic es.Advise on childhood safety, injury prevention and disea se.Promote vaccination and immunization progra ms.Interdisciplinary Collaborat ionCollaborate with pediatricians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and comprehensive ca re.Refer patients to specialists or other healthcare facilities when necessa ry.Patient & Family Educat ionCommunicate effectively with patients and their families about diagnosis, treatment options, and care pla ns.Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their famili es.Documentation & Complia nceMaintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentati on.Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standar ds.Professional Developm entStay current with the latest developments, guidelines, and research in pediatric healthca re.Participate in continuing education and professional development activiti es.Other Duties as Assig ned What You’l l NeedEducation: Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited medical schoolExperience: Prior experience in a pediatric setting preferred but not re quiredLicensure/Certification: Current APRN license to practice in Florida Basic computer skills with proficiency with EMR system(s) and documentation m methodsStrong clinical and diagnostic skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team envir onmentCompassionate and patient-centered approach t o care Physical Requir ements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a co mputer.Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at Bluebird Kids Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
