At MTI we believe that taking care of our employees means to ensure that they can live healthy balanced lives which results in better work performance.Responsible for coordinating the maintenance function plant-wide, on a daily basis, within a skilled trade environment.Health and safety of all team membersTraining, leadership, and direction of all team members on respective shiftComplete timely reviews on all team membersAdministrate computerized time and attendance system.Promote proper work ethic and enforce the Company's policies, procedures, and practices in the handbook.Maintain an efficient inventory of spare parts on assigned equipment.Direct the ordering of materials, tools, and spare parts.Administer the preventive maintenance program.Prioritize work schedules; plan, organize, and assign tasks and evaluate completed work.Recommend process improvements and other enhancements to increase operating efficiency.Coordinates maintenance functions with other shifts and departmentsAbility to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.Ability to effectively supervise and instruct employees.Knowledge and ability to utilize a PC and related software applications including Word, Excel, AS-400, etc.Must be able to work in and encourage a team environment and facilitate change when necessary.Ability to effectively organize multiple tasks.Specific knowledge of green sand foundry practices and principlesKnowledge and ability to utilize a computerized maintenance management system.Knowledge of mechanical and electrical principles of industrial related equipment.The Maintenance Supervisor will reside in the office and on the production floor. Must be able to adhere to conditions of the plant.Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and on their feet 50% on the production floor.Must be able to move about inside the office and in the plant.This position will operate a computer and other machinery in the plant.Must be able to frequently communicate with employees and other individuals in person and telephone.Journeyman or equivalent experience in maintenance field preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 5 years of foundry experience or education specifically related to industrial manufacturing maintenance field required.Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising and / or directing employees preferred.
