Appian Platform Engineer

Salary: $123,000 - 163,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• We need 5+ years of experience designing and supporting Appian BPM applications.
• We look for software development experience with technologies such as .NET, Java, Visual Basic, or C#.
• Experience with the Appian Admin Console and administration of application servers is beneficial.
• We prefer experience working in an Agile team environment.
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and UI/UX design is expected.
• Experience with Appian integrations and Appian plug-ins is important.
• Knowledge of MS SQL or a similar database platform is required.
• We value strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Appian Level 1, 2, or 3 certification is a plus.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, pipelines, and AWS is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Appian, BPM, or other workflow development tools is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Appian development, UI design, custom data types, and process design is helpful.
• Knowledge of finance functions such as accounting, AP/AR, financial reporting, and general ledger/subledger concepts is a plus.
• We seek someone detail-oriented with strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• We work directly with Finance Technology and business teams to understand business processes and requirements while providing end-user support.
• We partner with IT and functional teams to design simple, effective, and innovative solutions that streamline workflow processes.
• We ensure the stable operation of Finance Appian applications by monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and applying updates and patches.
• We identify opportunities to improve existing Finance Appian applications and implement enhancements that boost efficiency and effectiveness.
• We assist with creating and reviewing programming documentation and recommend improvements to development, maintenance, and application standards.
• We carry out process development and testing/debugging using best practices to minimize maintenance needs.
• We lead knowledge-sharing sessions on Finance Appian applications with other Appian platform resources.
