ABA Therapist

Location Avon, Indiana Job Responsibilities Our ABA Therapists follow ABA therapy techniques in specialized, client‑based sessions to reach goals per the client’s behavior plan by performing a variety of duties related to verbal behavior, behavior modification, treatment plan implementation, data collection, and intervention. Schedule Monday – Friday (8:00 am – 4:00 pm) Compensation Starting pay: $20.00 an hour. Benefits Eligible for the Damar Advantage including discounts at Damar Health Services and Damar Pharmacy Earn a pay increase and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within the first three months Comprehensive training in verbal intervention and physical management techniques Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance options Up to $3,000 per year in Tuition Assistance 401(k) plan participation Life Insurance and additional voluntary options Short‑Term and Long‑Term Disability Insurance options Paid Holidays Paid Time Off (PTO) Independent Job Duties Provide direct services to children diagnosed with Autism in an ABA setting using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis Maintain neat, chronological documentation of all goals and behaviors Provide crisis intervention as necessary Interact professionally with parents, school, medical personnel, and others using excellent interpersonal and customer‑service skills Keep abreast of current treatment technology, literature, practices, and regulations Ensure that the agency meets quality improvement, evaluation and reporting requirements Respect the culture, diversity and rights of all clients, their families and the community Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred Must be flexible and willing to work at any of the Damar ABA clinics Ability to pass and maintain Critical Moments Training (CMT) Certification Ability to pass and maintain CPR Certification Minimum age of 18 Valid Indiana driver’s license and a suitable driving record for positions requiring driving No felony convictions or substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions Successfully complete a pre‑employment physical Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening Essential Job Functions Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach and twist; to lift, carry, push and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight up to 35 lbs; to use office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of public and private transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
