Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement
• Previous experience supporting children and adolescents in educational settings
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity with crisis intervention, IEP processes, and restorative practices is a plus
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, staff, and community partners

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students facing academic, behavioral, or social-emotional challenges
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized support plans
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and IEP meetings, offering social-emotional expertise
• Lead prevention and education initiatives on topics such as bullying, trauma, and mental health
• Advocate for students’ needs, connecting families with community resources and services
• Support a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive school climate
