Women’s Health Business Specialist – Indianapolis West, IN Purpose and Scope Achieve territory sales goals by promoting Astellas products and services to physicians and other medical personnel within assigned geography. Educate customers on product use, characteristics, benefits, and developments. Represent Astellas professionally in the field, ensuring high visibility and customer satisfaction, and maintain effective communication and relationships with key external and internal customers. Grade is flexible based on candidate background and skillset. Role And Responsibilities Promote and educate physicians/HCPs on Astellas products through one‑on‑one meetings, group presentations, scheduled promotional speaker programs, and other approved means. Work 5 days in the field each week, supported by office time as needed for call planning, customer follow‑up, presentation preparation, appointment setting, and report generation. Maintain solid performance levels of call and field productivity, meeting call‑plan expectations and achieving territory product sales goals while adhering to all APUS‑defined ethical sales practices, compliance guidelines, and required promotional regulations. Execute company‑approved product marketing plans and territory/regional business plan activities. Support targeted customers with company‑approved resources, sales materials, and promotional activities as identified by Sales Management. Coordinate promotional efforts with peers across franchises and co‑promotion alliance partners, managing company equipment and promotional materials in compliance with guidelines. Ensure territory sales strategy execution using annual territory business plan, regional business plan, and call activity reports. Accurately report and submit sales call activities, territory expenses, and written reports by defined deadlines. Attend all company‑sponsored sales and medical meetings as directed by company management. Perform additional duties as needed. Quantitative Dimensions This position is responsible for achieving both territory product sales goals and territory sales activity goals through company‑defined metrics. Organizational Context It is important for individuals in this position to actively pursue continuous learning and professional sales development, mastering effective sales and communication techniques and product/therapeutic area knowledge. This Position Customer‑facing sales position. Reports to Regional Sales Manager. Manages territory responsible for Astellas products. Partners with counterparts, teammates, and cross‑functional colleagues as appropriate. Exhibits strong proficiency in competencies. Demonstrates sales influence within territory and, at times, within region. Required Qualifications BA/BS degree. 2+ years pharmaceutical selling experience. Strong knowledge of sales processes, pharmaceutical products, and industry. Solid communication, facilitation, and presentation skills. Proactive, can‑do approach. Problem‑solving ability; analytical mindset; business acumen. Strong motivational and persuasion skills. Team orientation and leadership. Proven record of sustained high sales performance and achievement. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including occasional overnight travel. Valid driver’s license in good standing. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree or continued education. Knowledge of promoting specialty products. What awaits you at Astellas? Salary Range $83,790 – $132,000 (Final compensation is determined based on skills, experience, and organizational equity).
