Locations TFA - Sterling, 7026 Sterling Ponds Court, Sterling Heights, MI 48312, USA Job Summary Tool & Die Maker - Supports production operations by maintaining and optimizing tools and dies, operating press equipment, and ensuring product quality according to specifications. Compensation Rate: $27 USD per hour (pay range $27 to $34 USD, depending on experience and qualifications) Shift premium: 15% for nighttime (11pm-7am) and afternoon (3pm-11pm) shifts Shift: Full time, Monday-Friday Requisition #: TOOLD008924 Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and optimize transfer and line dies in press and out as required Operate tool room equipment and machinery with precision Support press setup and efficiency as a team to achieve posted expectations Adhere to safety procedures and protocols Use root cause analysis and problem solving skills to promote efficiency and quality Maintain product quality to printed specifications where applicable Work overtime and the occasional nighttime shift as required to meet customer demand Serve as a wastewater handler (after completing proper environmental training) Other duties as assigned Adapt and promote Lean manufacturing principles using 5S and Kaizen processes Participate in Continuous Improvement action plan to support the company’s goals and objectives Qualifications Proficiency in blueprint, GD&T interpretation of dies, details, and part prints Ability to troubleshoot and solve daily operational deficiencies Computer literacy and ability to operate control panels and other productivity machinery Ability to interpret C.M.M. or gauging information and adjust tooling to maintain quality Five years’ experience in metal stamping, prototype, tool & die build, or die repair technician Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and Q1 compliance criteria Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet production targets High school diploma or GED (some college or technical trade manufacturing education preferred) Capacity to lift and carry up to 80 pounds, at times requiring extended periods of sitting, standing, lifting, bending, stooping, and repetitive motion Work in a manufacturing environment with continuous noise exposure Willingness to work required overtime for production demands Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Wellness reimbursement and on-site health screenings Mental health resources and Employee Assistance Program Employee stock ownership plan and 401(k) with company match Health Savings Account with company contribution Life and disability insurance Paid time off and 14 annual company paid holidays Training programs and education expense reimbursement Pet insurance, legal insurance, employee discounts, recognition and rewards Community involvement and workplace giving matching gift program Equal Opportunity Statement We are an equal‑opportunity employer.
