Patient Registration Representative

Responsible for timely and accurate patient registration. Interviews patients for all pertinent account information. Verify all insurance and calculates and collects patient liability amounts. Ensure that all necessary signatures are obtained for treatment. Answer any questions and explain policies clearly. Check for physician orders and attaches them to appropriate patient record to ensure correct test is received. Print and collate any paperwork needed for each patient to for distribution to unit/department. Escorts patients to his/her area or refers patient to available escort as needed.

This position is for an EPIC conversion. Candidates must have EPIC and Cerner experience within the last 5 years and have worked as an employee of an organization / successfully completed a contract. Each work history entry must list the charting system used. If multiple EMR systems are listed on one job, dates must be provided to clarify when each system was used. No RTO is allowed. The listed start date is firm. Auto Offer EPIC backfill, Day Shift, 40hours, 8 hr shift, Must have EPIC experience Education and Work Experience: High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred Associates/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred Essential Functions: Check for physician orders and attaches them to patient medical record to ensure that patients are receiving appropriate tests. Choose correct health plan and accurately and research to ensure accuracy when verifying insurance. Enter all authorization information accurately as needed.
