Job Description
The Process Engineer is responsible for supporting the manufacturing process from wax to shipment, serving as the technical owner of assigned parts throughout production. This individual will spend the majority of their time on the manufacturing floor working directly with operators, cross-functional teams, and leadership to improve quality, throughput, and efficiency. The role focuses heavily on process optimization, troubleshooting manufacturing issues, continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring casting processes consistently produce high-quality products. The Process Engineer will investigate root causes, implement process improvements, lead technical projects, and act as a key liaison between engineering, operations, quality, customers, and vendors. The pay band for this role is between $80k-110k and is dependent on your experience and your interview.

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, and working on the manufacturing floor
Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals including thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid flow, materials science and chemical engineering
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to relocate to or work in the Hampton Roads area - Metallurgical, foundry, casting, aerospace, or metals manufacturing experience
Knowledge of nickel-based alloys or other metallurgical processes
Exposure to investment casting or similar manufacturing processes
CAD or SolidWorks experience
Leadership experience in internships, co-ops or extracurriculars
Experience working directly with customers, vendors, or production teams
