An established structural steel fabricator in the Oak Brook area has continued to grow its project workload — and now they’re adding another Project Manager to the team. They’ve recently brought in a Senior PM. The pipeline is strong. And rather than waiting until the team is overloaded, they’re investing ahead of the curve. So, what would you actually be walking into? You’ll take ownership of structural steel projects from contract award through fabrication, erection and final completion. That means you’re not sitting behind a desk simply updating schedules. You’ll be: Reviewing drawings, specifications and contracts Building project and fabrication schedules Managing RFIs, submittals and change orders Coordinating with GCs, erectors and the fabrication shop Visiting local jobsites and solving problems in the field Managing budgets, forecasts and project billings Ultimately owning your projects from start to finish And the projects? Think hospitals, medical facilities, offices and major commercial construction . But here’s the part that caught my attention. People stay. Someone with roughly 3–10 years of construction or engineering experience , ideally within structural steel fabrication or structural construction.
