Especially Pets is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our close-knit team! We've proudly served the New Albany community for more than 30 years, building lasting relationships with our clients and caring for their pets throughout every stage of life.

Our veterinary team loves Especially Pets for:

• Four-day work week with Wednesdays off
• Alternating Saturday mornings only

What you'll do:

• Obtain patient histories, perform triage, and record vital signs
• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and dental procedures
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and diagnostic sample collection
• Obtain quality digital radiographs and assist with diagnostic imaging
• Perform in-house laboratory testing
• Monitor anesthesia and support patient recovery during surgical and dental procedures
• Practice fear-free, low-stress patient handling techniques
• Educate clients on treatment plans, preventive care, and medications
• Maintain clean, organized treatment and exam areas
• Assist wherever needed to support the success of the team

• Previous Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant experience
• Strong technical skills including venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory procedures, and anesthesia monitoring
