Overview Large Food Manufacturer in The Central Valley is adding a Health and Safety Clerk. This permanent role supports health and safety compliance within a manufacturing environment. Salary: $25 - $27 per hour. Benefits and bonus potential are offered. Job Details Are you passionate about health and safety? Do you have a knack for ensuring compliance with safety regulations? We are seeking a Permanent Health & Safety Clerk to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enforcing health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with Cal OSHA and Fed OSHA, maintaining OSHA 300 recordkeeping, and handling Workers’ Comp reports. This role contributes to the health and safety of team members and the productivity of operations. Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all Cal OSHA and Fed OSHA regulations within the company. Maintain OSHA 300 recordkeeping, including tracking and documenting workplace injuries and illnesses. Handle Workers’ Comp reports, including filing claims and coordinating with insurance companies. Regularly inspect the manufacturing facility to identify potential health and safety hazards. Conduct health and safety training sessions for all staff members. Maintain health and safety records, including incident reports, training records, and inspection reports. Coordinate with management and staff to implement health and safety improvements. Assist in the investigation of accidents and unsafe working conditions, study possible causes, and recommend remedial action. Qualifications Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably within the manufacturing industry. Extensive knowledge of Cal OSHA and Fed OSHA compliance requirements. Experience with OSHA 300 recordkeeping and Workers’ Comp reports. Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain detailed records. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure. Proactive approach to health and safety, with the ability to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or CPR Certification.
