About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: - At least 1 year of direct inpatient child/adolescent behavioral experience required - Epic experience required License: - Registered Nurse License required Certifications: - BLS required - PEARS preferred Must-Have: - Medical and religious exemptions for COVID-19 and influenza vaccines only Description: This is a 32-hour position. The schedule may consist of four 8-hour shifts or a combination of two 12-hour shifts and one 8-hour shift. If 8-hour shifts are chosen, hours could be from 3 PM to 11 PM or 11 PM to 7 AM. The role requires proficiency in managing antianxiety medications, antidepressants, and antipsychotics. Experience with behavior management techniques and crisis intervention is essential. Ability to handle various mental health disorders including anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder is required. Experience in managing self-injurious and suicidal behavior is critical. The role demands familiarity with seclusion protocols and procedures. Knowledge of medication administration and monitoring was expected. Must be able to work every third weekend. Locals are accepted; however, a different rate may apply. Verified professional references are required from two of the last three places worked, and they must be from different facilities.
