Phlebotomist

Job Overview Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Streamwood, IL. The work schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 8:00am to 12:00pm. Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes. Enter patient data accurately and promptly. Process billing information and collect payments as necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as required. Travel to additional sites when needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program, or three months’ experience as a phlebotomist. At least one year of phlebotomy experience preferred. Proven track record of exceptional customer service. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Able to pass a standardized color‑blindness test. Pay Range $17.75 – $24.00 per hour, based on skills and experience. Phlebotomists may be eligible to participate in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, as well as Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees, are eligible to participate only in the 401(k) plan.
