Unlimited referral bonuses. Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) coordinates and provides nursing care for residents and supervises and guides clinical staff members. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited LPN/LNV school of nursing. Licenses/Certification: Valid LPN/LVN license in the state of employment and valid CPR certification. Experience: One year of nursing experience preferred. Job Functions Document residents’ conditions and nursing needs. Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders. Assign nursing care to team members based on residents’ needs and personnel capabilities. Supervise, direct, and evaluate junior staff members and CNAs. Administer medications and perform treatments for assigned residents and document treatments per company, local, state, and federal rules. Participate in orientation and in‑service training for personnel. Ensure supplies are used economically and equipment is clean and maintained. Record observations and reactions regarding residents. Coordinate nursing care when residents are scheduled for therapy or procedures. Interview applicants and recommend hires; participate in counseling, disciplinary action, and termination of staff to the extent permitted by the state practice act. Supervise nursing unit, schedule and direct staff to the extent permitted by the state practice act. Ensure inventory and supplies are maintained and communicate needs for housekeeping, maintenance, or dietary assistance. Perform other tasks as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Skill in directing and motivating the workforce. Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and all levels of the organization. Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
