Whether you're modernizing aging infrastructure or pioneering next-generation transportation solutions, your contributions will help define the future of mobility.In the role of Bridge Engineer, we'll count on you to:Apply structural engineering analysis, design, and detailing techniques to develop contract documents (plans, specifications, and estimates) for projects that typically include traditional highway bridges (steel plate girder or prestressed concrete) and signature long-span highway bridges, railroad bridges, retaining walls, and sign bridges in seismic geographical locations.Complete structural load ratings for simple and complex bridge structures.Assign work, and/or check design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and EITs.Serve as technical bridge lead.Perform other duties as needed.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree in Structural EngineeringA minimum of 3 years' experience in bridge design.Experience with engineering software packages such as: SAP2000, LARSA 4D, LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, Midas Civil, MDX, CSiBridge, ADINA, RM Bridge, spColumn, LUSAS, STLBridgeLRFD, or STLBridge.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degreePrevious experience in bridge designRequires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu and engineering software packages such as: LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, midas Civil, MDX, SAP2000, CSiBridge, RM Bridge, spColumn, STLBridgeLRFD, or STLBridge.Knowledge of ADINA, LUSAS, Bentley OpenBridge Designer and OpenBridge Modeler and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d.Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, AutoCAD, MathCAD, LARSA, Prestress Concrete DesignExperience using structural analysis programs and bridge design softwareExperience managing junior staffExcellent communication skills and working in a team environmentAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustHDR is our company. The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
