Graduate Electrical Engineer (MEP Design) - 1-3 YOE sJob Type: Full-Tim An established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Gradua t e Electrical Design Engine er to join its growing Building Services team in Boston. This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically challenging projects across a diverse portfolio, including life sciences, healthcare, higher education, commercial, and mixed-use development s. Working alongside experienced mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers, you will play a key role in delivering innovative, energy-efficient electrical designs from concept through to construction The Role As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing electrical building systems for a wide variety of new-build and refurbishment projects. You will collaborate closely with architects, clients, and multidisciplinary design teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that meet project objectives, budgets, and schedules. Responsibilities Design electrical building services systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems Prepare engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and construction documents Produce and review drawings using Revit and AutoCAD Coordinate electrical systems with mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and structural disciplines Attend client meetings, design reviews, and site visits as required Support construction administration activities, including reviewing shop drawings and responding to RFIs Contribute to sustainable and energy-efficient building design solutions Ensure designs comply with applicable U.S. codes and industry standards Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering Experience designing electrical systems within the building services consulting industry Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and applicable building codes Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative project teams EIT certification or progress toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure Experience with healthcare, laboratory, life sciences, education, or commercial projects Knowledge of lighting controls, emergency power systems, and sustainable design principles What's on Offer Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package Hybrid working arrangement Structured professional development and support towards PE licensure Exposure to high-profile projects across the Greater Boston region Collaborative and supportive engineering culture Clear opportunities for career progression within a growing organisation #J-18808-Ljbffr James Gray Recruitment
