Senior Tech Writer

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Tech Writer in Coppell, TX. Responsibilities:

• Lead the review and improvement of an enterprise knowledge base, identifying content gaps and establishing priorities for updates
• Develop and maintain clear, user-friendly technical documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Create procedures, user guides, knowledge articles, runbooks, FAQs, and other support materials
• Establish documentation standards for content structure, terminology, formatting, tagging, and ongoing maintenance
• Partner with subject matter experts to research processes, validate technical information, and ensure documentation remains accurate
• Organize and manage documentation requests, priorities, deadlines, and content updates
• Create reusable templates, style guidelines, and standards that improve consistency across documentation
• Translate complex technology and operational processes into clear, easy-to-understand instructions
• Incorporate stakeholder feedback and update documentation as systems, policies, and processes evolve
• Use AI-assisted tools appropriately to improve content development while maintaining accuracy and quality
• 5+ years of experience in technical writing, knowledge management, documentation, content strategy, or a related field
• Proven experience leading or supporting enterprise documentation and knowledge management initiatives
• Experience with enterprise knowledge base, content management, or service management platforms
• Experience developing documentation standards, templates, style guides, and content governance practices
• Experience collaborating with technical subject matter experts to research and validate information
• Experience using AI-assisted writing tools with an understanding of appropriate review and fact-checking practices
• Working knowledge of information technology concepts and common technical processes
• Strong editing, research, organization, and information management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and collaboration tools
• Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into concise, accessible content
• Experience supporting IT, security, financial services, or other regulated environments is a plus
