Phlebotomist (Training Program) We train new phlebotomists to ensure they provide exceptional patient care, comfortable and happy donors, and high product quality. Qualifications Superior customer service standards High School diploma or GED Ability to work a flexible schedule Interest in making a difference in the world Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable Physical Requirements Work is performed in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potential infectious organisms. Other demands include standing 6–8 hours per day, bending, twisting, frequent hand movements, precise finger coordination, lifting up to 50 lbs, use of personal protective equipment, and vision requirements (20/30 in one eye and 20/100 in the other). Responsibilities Assist in determining the suitability of donors. Establish rapport with donors to ensure overall customer happiness while maintaining donor confidentiality. Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions. Monitor donor and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality. Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines. Disconnect and dispose of all contaminated disposable equipment. Compensation & Benefits The estimated pay scale for the Phlebotomist role based in Danville, VA is $16.25 per hour, with eligibility to participate in up to 4% of the company bonus pool.
