Global Commodity Manager The Global Commodity Manager leads the development and execution of commodity strategy for assigned box build solutions, supports all manufacturing locations worldwide, and manages key suppliers to achieve cost savings and performance improvements. Responsibilities Develop and execute commodity strategies for the Box Build (H9). Continuously enhance purchasing expertise and knowledge of local and global market trends. Own the commercial relationship for key suppliers, serving as the point of contact for problem escalation, issue resolution, and leading monthly, quarterly, and executive business reviews. Collaborate with strategic suppliers on cost savings initiatives and performance improvement of key KPIs such as OTD, quality, and sustainability. Drive strategic suppliers to participate in improvement, digitalization, and supply‑chain initiatives. Track KPIs and deliver reports as assigned. Execute comprehensive RFQ processes and support functional users in a timely manner. Identify and develop strategic supply sources, support standardization, spend control, and innovation with suppliers. Act as the “go‑to” person on supplier strategy for the final‑goods assembly and work cross‑functionally with the team. Hard Skills Strong negotiation skills with strategic suppliers, including frequent face‑time with vendors up to C‑Suite level. Purchasing and risk analysis, including cost driver identification, supplier relationship management, cost analysis, market analysis, and supplier SWOT analysis. Experience working on supplier agreements, collaborating with Legal. Proficient in Excel and comfortable with numerical data. Business acumen on trade‑offs between service level, cost, and total cost of ownership. Supplier identification and evaluation expertise. Understanding of supply‑chain quality principles. Soft Skills Open‑minded and results‑oriented. Leadership skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams. Strategic thinking and cross‑cultural awareness. Remote management and clear written communication skills. Ability to communicate and coordinate with supplier C‑Suite management and their account teams. Strong analytical skills and initiative in resolving issues within a matrix organization. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or mechanical/industrial engineering. Minimum eight years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain. Fluent spoken and written communication in English. Experience negotiating key supplier agreements, including costs, terms of supply, and quality.
