Lead Lactation Consultant
Join our team as a Lead Lactation Consultant, where you'll play a vital role in enhancing patient care and education in lactation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Collaborate with lactation consultants to provide patient care and education
- Oversee regulatory processes related to human donor milk
- Manage program submissions for the organization's Baby-Friendly designation
- Plan and evaluate lactation orientation and in-service programs
- Organize patient education classes and outpatient lactation resources
- Collect and analyze data related to infant feeding and best practices
- Provide direct patient care as a staff nurse as needed
- Participate in Performance Improvement initiatives
What We Need To See
- BSN or MSN degree
- Registered Nurse licensed in New York
- Lactation Consultant Certification from IBLCE
- Current BLS certification
- At least 1 year of nursing, lactation, and medical practice experience
- Knowledge of current nursing, lactation, medical and health trends
- ACLS certification within 180 days
- NRP certification within 180 days
