We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our surgical team in Winona, Kansas. In this essential role, you will be responsible for preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile environment, and assisting the surgical team during various procedures. Your contribution will be vital in ensuring the safety of our patients and the smooth operation of surgeries.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Maintain a sterile field during surgeries and pass instruments to the surgical team
• Perform surgical counts before, during, and after surgeries to ensure instruments are accounted for
• Assist with patient positioning and prepping the surgical area
• Clean and restock the operating room after surgeries
• Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment
• Accurately document surgical counts and patient information in medical records
• Work closely with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient care

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• In-depth knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and operating room procedures
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
