The Cloud Sourcing, Security and Sustainability (CS3) organization within CSCP manages sourcing, strategy, and suppliers to provide cost, flexibility, and supply advantages that enable our org to become a world-class supply chain. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.ResponsibilitiesAssigned SI, representing sourcing with senior account team, to ensure their adherence to MSFT requirements.Engage across product design, quality, engineering, and operations to determine sourcing requirements for system integrators.Develop sourcing strategies to deliver optimized cost, production capacity, continuity of supply, and reduced FGI.Establish and maintain business relationships with stakeholders within and outside of the Sourcing organization.Collect, synthesize, and communicate fact-based insights to drive strategic initiatives and decision making for executives.Conduct capability assessments to develop and enable new suppliers.Allocate product business across SIs to optimize costs and ensure continuity of supply.Experienced in developing forecasting models for new factory and warehouse capacity.Maintain SI Sourcing strategy align to support product strategy.Manage execution of all financial settlements with suppliers to include E&O and purchase price variance.Experience in managing VMI logistics operations to optimize inbound materials from hub to SI factory dock.Lead SI readiness strategic initiatives to ensure all certifications, licenses, and IOR/EOR requirements are met to ship globally.Demonstrate agility to resolve ad-hoc issues such as cost, tariffs, import / export compliance, and inventory consumption.Experience in managing execution custom brokerage requirements and knowledge of current laws and policies.Lead continuous improvement for commercial operations and sourcing processes.Negotiate pricing to maintain supply chain competitiveness and identify cost reduction opportunities.Execute RFQ / RFP activities to drive incremental cost savings and meet fiscal year plan targetsEnsure suppliers contract compliance with MSFT requirements to include general terms and conditions and business operations.Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and ensure supplier's compliance to MSFT requirements.Support CSCP teams to drive suppliers toward their operational and cost metrics.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 3+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles OR Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 4+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles OR equivalent experience.Other Requirements:Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred Qualifications:10+ years of experience in sourcing, supply chain management, planning, and commercial operations.4+ years of consulting experience in sourcing or supply chain management.4+ years of logistics operations experience, focussed on vendor managed inventory (VMI).Strong record of leading cross-functional teams and driving effective collaboration.Experience managing cloud or high-tech supply chain processes.APICS/CPIM/CSCP certification or demonstrable project/process experience.Expertise in using advanced Excel and PowerPoint tools, with knowledge of MRP systems.Sourcing Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
