Structural Engineering Team Leader – Transportation - Chicago Permanent Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Structural Engineering Team Leader to manage and grow a transportation structural group. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex highway, transit, and rail infrastructure projects while fostering team development, operational excellence, and client relationships. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technicians, managing resources and professional growth Oversee project portfolios for technical quality, budget adherence, and timely delivery Support business development through proposal preparation, client engagement, and industry representation Ensure compliance with structural design standards, including AASHTO LRFD and AREMA Manage operational functions including budgeting, scheduling, and team recruitment Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with organizational growth strategies Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred) Professional Structural Engineer (S.E.) license required; PE preferred Minimum 15 years of structural engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role Strong knowledge of highway, transit, and rail design standards and regulatory requirements Proven ability in project management, business development, and client relationship management Excellent communication and team leadership skills Competitive salary range: $179,000–$205,000 (based on experience) Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, retirement plan, paid time off, parental leave, and professional development #J-18808-Ljbffr Talisman
