Senior Media Planner

This position may be available remotely for anyone not living within a one (1) hour radius of our home office. Overview Bernstein-Rein is seeking a Senior Media Planner who pairs strategic thinking with intellectual curiosity. You'll develop integrated, data-driven media plans that connect client objectives with the right audiences, channels, and investments. Working closely with account, strategy, creative, analytics, and buying teams, you'll turn insight into clear recommendations, guide plans from brief through execution, and continuously improve performance. This is a hands-on role for someone who can balance big-picture planning with strong budget, vendor, and campaign stewardship. Responsibilities Develop integrated media plans across digital and traditional channels that align with client objectives, audiences, budgets, and KPIs. Use audience research, market and competitor intelligence, and campaign results to shape media strategies and identify new opportunities. Translate insights into clear channel, budget, flighting, and investment recommendations for clients and internal teams. Partner with account, strategy, creative, analytics, project management, and media-buying teams to execute approved plans successfully. Monitor campaign pacing, delivery, budgets, and performance; provide data-backed optimization recommendations throughout the campaign lifecycle. Prepare concise, persuasive media plans, performance reports, and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences. Support media investment and stewardship, including vendor coordination, negotiations, authorizations, specifications, and final-buy review when applicable. Build trusted relationships with clients, agency partners, sales representatives, and media vendors while staying current on media trends, platforms, and capabilities. Qualifications 5+ years of media planning experience, preferably in an agency or similarly fast-paced environment. Experience developing integrated media plans across a mix of digital and traditional channels. Strong understanding of audience insights, media strategy, budget allocation, campaign measurement, and optimization. Comfort managing media budgets, pacing, and planning documentation with careful attention to detail. Strong analytical, written, presentation, and relationship-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate across disciplines, and communicate recommendations clearly to clients and internal stakeholders. A bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field is preferred.
