Corporate Security Manager

Required Experience Enterprise Access Control & Identity Management Platforms: Hands‑on experience administering and maintaining enterprise access control systems, specifically CCURE 9000, including credential lifecycle management, role‑based access, alarm monitoring, and integration with physical security compliance programs (e.g., regulated or critical infrastructure environments). Video Management & Physical Security Systems Integration: Demonstrated experience using Genetec Security Center (or comparable VMS/PSIM platforms) for live monitoring, incident review, investigations, and system integrations across access control, video, and intrusion detection systems in a multi‑site or enterprise environment. Guard Force Operations & Security Workforce Management Systems: Experience managing contract or proprietary guard force operations using platforms such as TrackTik, including scheduling, incident reporting, patrol verification, KPI tracking, and performance oversight in coordination with vendors and internal stakeholders. Emergency Management & Incident Command: Practical experience supporting or leading emergency response, crisis management, or security operations during incidents, exercises, or real‑world events, including work within an Incident Command System (ICS) or Emergency Operations Center (EOC) environment. Desired Certifications CCURE 9000 Technical or Administrator Certification (or equivalent ACS certification) – Vendor‑issued or recognized certification demonstrating advanced proficiency in enterprise access control system configuration, administration, and troubleshooting. Genetec Certification (Security Center Operator, Technician, or equivalent) – Certification validating hands‑on expertise with video management systems, access control integration, and incident investigation workflows within Genetec or comparable platforms. Security Operations / Physical Security Professional Certification. Additional Preferred Certifications Certified Protection Professional (CPP) Physical Security Professional (PSP) Vendor or industry‑recognized certification related to security operations centers (SOC), physical security technology, or guard force management systems (e.g., TrackTik). Emergency Management / Incident Command Certifications Completion of FEMA National Incident Management System (NIMS) / ICS coursework (e.g., ICS‑100, ICS‑200, ICS‑300, ICS‑400, IS‑700, IS‑800) or equivalent emergency management, crisis response, or EOC operations certification. Job Description Corporate Security Manager Salary Grade: G04 – $110,004 to $187,007 This position is covered by NERC CIP cybersecurity standards. Prior to being hired, promoted, or transferred into the position, the candidate must successfully pass a Personnel Risk Assessment, which includes identity verification and a criminal background check. Prior to being granted unescorted access to cyber secure areas, the candidate must attend cybersecurity training. Annual cybersecurity training is also required. Summary Advising business leaders with the development and implementation of appropriate physical and personnel security risk management, this position has security accountabilities for all physical security processes. Works closely with Human Resources, Facilities, Safety, Risk Management, business unit leadership, department heads and supervisors to enhance physical security risk management capabilities by utilizing effective security risk management practices and tools. Assumes responsibility for ensuring that physical security has appropriately addressed risk, providing reliable, complete, and timely reporting of physical security intelligence, risks and strategies. Maintains an internal awareness of security threats, trends and opportunities pertaining to physical internal control systems and risk management programs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and direct the development and delivery of physical security strategies, standards, resources and activities. Develop and deliver all NERC CIP compliance materials related to physical security and physical security access controls. Deliver strategies and tactics to ensure the availability of personnel to preserve and protect employees, property, and facilities while minimizing exposure to revenue and workplace violence prevention. Develop and lead the enterprise security intelligence, personnel security, crime prevention and emergency response programs, in coordination with Crisis Management. Partner with Safety department to ensure facility and employee safety plans and training are implemented, including fire alarm and fire drill oversight, emergency medical services and training, and supplying staff and guard force with necessary emergency services supplies. Manage corporate and facilities guard force contract, deliverables and operations. Collaboratively develop and maintain standards and approaches for site physical and personnel security assessments and budgets, and prioritize improvements based on risk, and facility criticality. Provide primary direction and support for physical security compliance and regulatory standards. Maintain the design and integrity of Access Control Systems and coordinate with necessary departments or agencies to ensure compliance and reliable operation. Represent company interests at incident command and/or emergency operation centers. Investigate incidents of workplace violence, insider threat, thefts and damage to company, contractor and employee property and work with Human Resources, employees, management and law enforcement agencies to document incident reports for risk and recovery. Develop and maintain strong relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies in all company service territories to ensure emergency preparedness enforcement and facilitate timely response, goodwill, and availability of off‑duty resources. Maintain strong technical expertise in physical security industry, striving for professional certification and recognition in the profession. Review vulnerability assessments for all critical company properties and develop site‑specific security and remediation plans. Provide security awareness training, and train and qualify security personnel using technical, professional and industry resources; ensure that state certifications and legal requirements for corporate security are met and maintained. Lead design and implementation of corporate use‑of‑force program. Departmental budget and cost management. Competencies Ability to be flexible and adaptable. Experience developing and operating a Security Operations Center. Qualifications Minimum Education and/or Experience • Bachelor’s degree or greater in business administration, security management, criminal justice, or related discipline, with seven to nine years of related experience in the security field or criminal justice field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations • Certified Protection Professional certification or related security certifications strongly preferred. • Current U.S. Government clearance at the TS/SCI full scope poly or ability and willingness to obtain preferred. Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to effectively listen and obtain clarification for prompt and effective resolution. Mathematical Skills Ability to apply the concepts of fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Computer Skills Ability to use electronic security systems equipment, closed circuit television (CCTV), and recording software at multiple sites. Working knowledge of word processing, database, presentation, and spreadsheet software. Analysis and Problem‑Solving Ability Ability to identify, define, and solve complex problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists and to change priorities as events unfold. Ability to anticipate, influence, and assist the company in changing conditions and trends (internal and external) of importance to the direction of the company. Decision Making Independently identifies risk and makes sound decisions as situations arise. Understands the physical security controls of the Company and individual organizations to ensure proper access controls are accomplished and are consistent with company policies and procedures. Makes difficult decisions regarding coordination of efforts within the Company to restore critical systems and provide facilities or supplies. Scope and Impact Responsible for physical protection of company assets and its employees in all company facilities. Has direct impact on company revenue relative to cost avoidance in damage and theft to assets. Issues related to physical security can result in high negative exposure to the Company. Failure to maintain compliance with regulatory agencies can negatively impact the Company in regards to revenue and reputation. Physical Demands Ability to stand or walk up to 1/3 of the time and regularly required to sit up to 2/3 of the time. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Manual dexterity is required to perform computer applications and good vision is required to perform all aspects of the job. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. May require long periods of time in interview, conference or meeting when one is required to talk and/or listen. Work Environment Office environment. Some travel required.
