Job Responsibilities
- Design Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess individual patient needs to formulate personalized therapy strategies aimed at achieving functional milestones
- Implement Effective Intervention Techniques: Apply evidence-based methodologies to elevate patients' motor abilities, cognitive skills, and everyday activities
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Forge strong partnerships with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nurses to ensure comprehensive and integrated care
- Educate Patients and Families: Provide guidance to patients and their caregivers on relevant therapy practices to foster ongoing development at home
- Track and Document Progress: Monitor clinical advancements, making adjustments to treatment plans to keep patients on the right track
- Formal education in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, including continuing education or post-graduate certifications
- Valid and active Licensing in Occupational Therapy (OTR/L)
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is mandatory
- A genuine passion for helping others achieve their optimal level of independence
- Compassionate and articulate communication skills with patients and colleagues alike
