About the Role

The Company is in search of a VP of Security Operations to take the lead in the operational aspect of its security program. This executive will be responsible for the end-to-end security operations function, with a focus on delivering a mature SecOps program that effectively detects, responds to, and anticipates threats. The role encompasses five key domains: incident response, vulnerability management, threat intelligence and operations, governance, risk and compliance, and offensive security. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader, capable of setting and executing security operations strategies, and will be instrumental in building and maturing the security operations team. A hands-on approach is essential, as the VP will be expected to make critical decisions regarding security tooling and platforms, and to ensure the team is well-equipped to handle the unique threat environment of high-performance computing and AI infrastructure. Applicants for the VP of Security Operations position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in security operations, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and running mature security operations functions, particularly in large-scale, complex infrastructure environments. Experience with HPC, GPU clusters, IaaS, or AI environments is highly advantageous. The role requires a leader with exceptional communication skills, executive presence, and the ability to represent the company's security posture to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A collaborative, strategic mindset with a strong bias for action is essential, as is the ability to balance long-term risk and compliance thinking with the operational demands of a high-growth, high-stakes infrastructure company. A Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is also a necessary qualification.
