RN - Hospice & Palliative Care NurseWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in hospice care to join a supportive healthcare team focused on delivering exceptional end-of-life services. This role involves providing patient-centered care in home or hospice settings, ensuring comfort, dignity, and quality of life for patients and their families throughout the hospice journey.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.Conduct initial physical evaluations and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.Administer medications and manage symptoms following established protocols.Educate and support patients and families on end-of-life care options and resources.Coordinate services and maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities.Communicate changes in patient condition to the interdisciplinary group and primary providers.Perform venipuncture or collect lab specimens as ordered.Education and ExperienceGraduate of an accredited nursing program with current Registered Nurse licensure valid for practice.Previous experience in hospice, palliative, or critical care settings is preferred.Completion of hospice philosophy and care training is required.RequirementsCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.Completion of Mandatory Reporter training within six months of hire.Strong oral and written communication skills.Basic computer proficiency and ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.Compliance with all federal, state, and professional licensure and regulatory standards.This position offers a warm, collaborative environment in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest, dedicated to compassionate end-of-life care.
