General Laborer

LaborMax - Topeka, KS

Job Description

The General Laborer will support construction and maintenance projects by performing a variety of manual tasks. Working within a small team of 1-5 people, this role involves assisting with material handling, site cleanup, and basic maintenance duties under the guidance of a Project Manager, Foreman, or Supervisor. The position requires adherence to safety standards and occasional local travel.

Responsibilities

Perform manual labor tasks related to construction and maintenance
Handle and move materials safely and efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and order on job sites
Load and unload equipment and supplies
Follow safety protocols and comply with all regulations
Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
Carry out basic maintenance and tool operation tasks

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Be able to lift 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds regularly

Preferred Qualifications

Entry-level experience in general labor
Physical stamina for manual work
Understanding of safety compliance requirements
Basic tool operation skills
Strong teamwork and communication abilities
Effective time management
Problem-solving skills
