Nurse Practitioner IIITurnwell Mental Health Better Balance Psychiatry is seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing outpatient behavioral health team in Southern Utah. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and medication management to a diverse patient population, including adults and adolescents. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an underserved region with a collaborative, mission-driven team.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and individualized treatment planningPrescribe and manage psychotropic medications in compliance with applicable state and federal regulationsProvide ongoing medication management and monitor patient response and side effectsCollaborate with therapists, social workers, primary care providers, and other team members to deliver coordinated careMaintain timely, accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) systemParticipate in care coordination meetings, peer consultation, and quality improvement initiativesProvide telehealth services as needed to serve rural and remote patientsMaintain professional knowledge through continuing education, staying current with evidence-based psychiatric practicesAdhere to all clinic policies, HIPAA regulations, and ethical standardsQualificationsRequired QualificationsMaster's or Doctoral degree from an accredited PMHNP programCurrent PMHNP-BC certification from ANCC or equivalentActive Utah APRN license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date)Current DEA registration or ability to obtainExperience with outpatient psychiatric careStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with electronic health record systemsPreferred Qualifications2+ years of PMHNP experience in an outpatient or community mental health settingExperience treating co-occurring substance use and mental health disordersFamiliarity with collaborative care models or integrated behavioral healthSpanish language proficiency (a plus given the regional population)Experience with telehealth platforms
