Quality Engineer 2

Quality Engineer 2 – GAC Van Nuys Preferred skills: Auditing experience and SharePoint skills. Location: Split time between Van Nuys, CA and Long Beach, CA. Compensation Range: $95,371.20 – $111,266.40 annually. Manage supplier/Gulfstream facility quality compliance through audits. Certify supplier or Gulfstream facility quality systems, personnel, processes and equipment. Perform surveillance, source, and first article inspections at supplier facilities, foreign or domestic. Monitor inspection system performance across all Gulfstream Operations, Materials and Repair Stations. Coordinate quality assurance program plans, audit schedules, acceptance test programs and quality engineering requirements. Witness and validate acceptance, qualification, interchangeability, configuration and compatibility tests. Provide Gulfstream liaison support regarding supplier or facility performance to established requirements. Coordinate documentation support for FAA Compliance. Additional Functions Conduct product, system or process failure investigations and provide technical assistance in quality problem resolution. Verify implementation of corrective actions for timeliness and effectiveness. Perform trend analysis of audit results to identify quality system deficiencies. Work with other departments as needed to meet quality compliance of parts and processes. Additional Requirements Previous quality experience compliant with regulatory standards. Understanding and ability to apply blueprints/specifications, Federal Aviation Regulations, Quality Control System Requirements; knowledge of manufacturing/fabrication techniques and processes. Computer literacy and ability to work with various software applications used across the corporation. ASQ Certification as Quality Engineer or Quality Auditor preferred. A&P license preferred. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in a related curriculum or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Minimum 4 years related technical experience in a manufacturing environment or repair and overhaul with quality management systems and progressively increasing responsibility.
