These nurses will provide flexible staffing support for off-site immunization clinics throughout Great Falls and surrounding communities.You'll help bring preventive healthcare directly to the people who need it by administering vaccines at seasonal influenza clinics and other community vaccination events held at workplaces, schools, and community locations.This is a great opportunity for an LPN or RN who enjoys community-based nursing, wants scheduling flexibility, and is comfortable stepping into different environments to provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care.What You'll DoAs a Community Immunization Nurse, you will:Administer vaccines safely and accurately in accordance with established clinical protocolsProvide nursing support at seasonal influenza clinics and other community immunization eventsTravel to workplaces, schools, and community locations for scheduled vaccination clinicsReview appropriate health information and screening criteria prior to vaccine administrationEducate patients about vaccines, potential side effects, and recommended follow-upAccurately document vaccine administration and required patient informationMaintain appropriate infection prevention and safety practicesMonitor patients for immediate reactions following vaccination and respond appropriately when neededAssist with vaccine clinic setup, flow, supplies, and breakdownMaintain vaccine integrity and follow applicable storage and handling proceduresProvide professional, respectful, and compassionate service to individuals of all agesWork collaboratively with Prevention Services staff and other members of the vaccination teamFollow Alluvion Health policies, clinical procedures, confidentiality requirements, and applicable regulatory standardsWhat We're Looking ForYou'll be successful in this position if you are:Comfortable administering immunizationsConfident working independently in community and off-site settingsFlexible and able to adapt to changing clinic locations and staffing needsOrganized and attentive to documentation and clinical detailsComfortable working with individuals of different ages and backgroundsProfessional, dependable, and able to represent Alluvion Health positively in the communityAble to communicate clearly and provide patient education in an easy-to-understand mannerCommitted to patient safety, confidentiality, and quality careAble to work effectively as part of a mobile or community-based healthcare teamEducation & LicensureCandidates must have:Current, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license valid to practice in MontanaCurrent BLS certificationAbility to administer vaccines within the scope of applicable nursing licensureValid driver's license and reliable transportation to off-site clinic locationsPrevious experience with immunizations, public health, community health, occupational health, school nursing, or vaccination clinics is preferred.Registry ScheduleThis is a registry/PRN position, meaning hours are offered based on the staffing needs of Prevention Services and scheduled community vaccination clinics.Immunization clinic needs are expected to be greatest during the fall and spring seasons.
