Patient Ratio: ICU: 1:2 Stepdown: 1:3–4 (includes Q4 vitals/orders) No fresh transplants or CVVH assignments for travelers Types of Patients: Post-liver, kidney/pancreas, small bowel, islet cell transplant Pre-liver, hepatology, surgical (ENT, flaps, abdominal, thoracic) Overflow from MICU (GI bleeds, oncology) and Neuro ICU (craniotomies, strokes) Must-Have Experience: Sepsis, transfusions (massive transfusion protocol) Moderate sedation, post-op patients Neuro experience is a must (may float to neuro units) Transplant experience is a plus, not required
