Unit Information: Number of Beds: 24 total beds Staffing: Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 2 PCTs Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 2 PCTs Patient Ratios: maximum 5:1 Type of Equipment: Standard EMR: Meditech Expanse Unit Type: Medical Trauma Typical Hiring Profile: Must Have: IMU/PCU experience (1 year plus) Preferred: Charge Nurse experience, Meditech Expanse experience Typical Procedures Performed: Thoracentesis Chest tubes Standard Nursing Skills: medication administration; RN assessments and reassessments; communication with all members of the care team; documentation in EHR-Meditech Expanse; care of patients post heart cath. Best Personality Fit: Friendly, positive, patient-centered, team-focused, calm demeanor. Required Certifications: RN license, BLS, ACLS. Floating Areas: Adult Unit. Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs.
